WHIP USE DISCUSSION

BOTRA supports the concept of a driver not removing his/her hands from the reins when using the whip, with the whip action closely monitored by RWWA Stewards. BOTRA would like the the opinion of other industry groups with this initiative. Just talk to anyone on the Committee with your thoughts.

The Metropolitan racing assets task force expects to have a final report on the viability of Ascot, Belmont Park and Gloucester Park by August. Consultancy firm GHD was recently appointed to examine data collected by the task force. We will await the outcome of this report.
